Writing Piece: Letter to Your Future Self

Imagine you could communicate with the person you will be at the end of this school year.

Compose a letter that is intended to be read by you in June.

Tell yourself how you expect to change. What do you hope to accomplish between now and June? Consider and explain how you have changed since you were beginning the last school year. What were your interests then compared to now? How do you think that will change by June? What kind of person are you? What kind of person do you hope to be? How do you hope to change in school and socially? Write about your accomplishments and some goals you hope to achieve. Who are your role models? How do they influence you? How do you think other people see you? How do you hope they will see you by June? Name some experiences you have had recently that have changed you in some way. What kind of role do your friends and family play in your life? Is there some advice you’d like to give yourself?

These are just some suggestions; you may choose to answer them all, some, or none of them. Since this is a letter it should have a greeting and a closing, like an actual letter.

These letters will be saved and returned to you then.
